Bangladesh is a developing country in the South Asian countries. A country’s development depends on many things. Electricity power is one of them. Bangladesh Government set up many electricity generation power plants and distribution companies after achieving independence in 1971. Payra Thermal Power Plant is one of them.
Two mega electricity distribution companies built Payra Thermal Power Plant with an agreement signing. North-West Power Generation Company Limited (NWPGCL) and China National Machinery Import and Export Corporation (CMC). All of the companies are under the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB). The capacity of the Payra Thermal Power Plant is 1320 MV.
